October is here and basketball practice starts for us in about one month. The last couple of months have been super hectic. Emma is in first grade, Ben preschool, Abby preschool, and Noelle is four months. To say that my world is fast paced would be an understatement. Yet, as the leaves change from one color to many I am reminded of why I love this time of year. We are getting ready to start the season back up.
It has been an incredible couple of months since my last post. Most of my players are two or three sport athletes. Injuries, senioritus, and large egos abound and it has left our preseason planning stalled. My staff and I are left wondering who's in and who's out. What we do know is that we have great kids that our coming out for the team.
Our challenge will obviously be to get the most out of the kids we have, and while the season looks ominous to some, our staff is ready for the challenge. Posts will be coming more frequent, but wanted to say that I have spent the last three months learning, growing and enjoying my family.
Things that I want to share on, but more importantly need feedback on... so if you have any info or insight please share.
1. Feeder programs
2. Pack line defense
3. Read and React Offense
4. Motivation
5. Practice Planning
6. Scrimmage scheduling
Wishing you all the best!
