Fast Five for Friday... 10/12/12
1) Basketball officially starts for the N-O League in 24 days. High school athletes are so unpredictable both good and bad. One of these keys is getting them to buy in and want to be there. We are trying to develop a culture here at ACS of a winning attitude, regardless if we win or not.
2) Our culture is missing that killer instinct. In the process of teaching our kids to play nice, be nice, play fair... it becomes a challenge to teach your kid how to be aggressive and work hard to get ahead when they get criticized for doing it. Fight against mediocrity.
3) Understanding parenting and how you raise your children is directly correlated to your belief system. Do you have one.
4) University of Michigan basketball is by far the team I root for the most. B1G championship is coming. AMCC, watch out for the Medaille Mavericks.
5) Aspiring athletes that want to play college level sports. I understand that your want is there, but if you have never done a work out that is not required by a coach... you are not a college level player. The want might be there, but the WILL is not.
Have a great weekend... Cornell Football will rebound with a win against Monmouth!
JJG
Bonus... #6) Do your work early... it opens up so many doors.
#7) Your attitude and actions tell me more than your words. A-squared...
