Fast Five for Friday 10/18/12 (Thursday Edition)

1. It is amaizing what positives can happen when you have parents that care about their kids and hold them accountable, yet provide endless opportunities.

2. Year 11 of teaching middle school and one thing seems to be true, this age sees varying degrees of personal development.  We have had, have, and will probably always have kids that are mature/immature for their age.  It is so developmental, yet so environmental at the same time.  Let's challenge them and bring them along... I think they will surprice all of us.

3. It is weird when you realize you aren't the young guy anymore... when you look around and see the people you are dealing with are looking at you you like you are old and don't know how young kids act.  We do and we are experienced enough to want to share it with you so you can eliminate mistakes we made.

4. A passion is something that you find yourself thinking about, even if you are not supposed to be thinking about it. (Faith, Family, Basketball)

5. I love what I do.  I can not imagine being stuck in a factory, or in a cubicle, or not interacting with people.  Helping them find their way helps me find my way.

Bonus: Despite your best efforts to serve, someone will always find fault.  If you are well intentioned don't stop, just grind.  You are appreciated.

"Those with the most will go last, those with the least will go first." -serve others and make someone smile everyday!
