9 yr Old Backyard Ninja

I have been posting a lot of motivational clips over the last week.  None of those inspire me more than the one I am posting today.  My daughter will be nine within the next couple of weeks and we are obsessed with the show America Ninja Warrior.  So we decided to start building a small set in our backyard.  It is not super elaborate but it is a challenge for my kids (and who am I kidding their parents too).  We keep telling them that in order to be good at any of the skills they have to first decide to try.  Most likely they will fail at first, but we don't cry, we simply get back up and try again.  Then, when we finally see them accomplish one of the obstacles they are so proud of themselves and looking for a bigger challenge.  I see the bigger picture in my kids small obstacle course.

1) Find something that you love.
2) Put yourself out there.
3) Get back up when you fall. (It is a guarantee to happen.)
4) Celebrate (humbly) your success and be proud of your accomplishment.
5) Don't be complacent... keep seeking out new challenges.

With her birthday coming we are excited about all the gifts that she may receive and better appreciate, but I can't even begin to image the value and gifts that our kids give back to us!

Enjoy the video... it is slow motion (thanks Uncle E)... so feel free to fast forward.
