"Big Mike's" Rules for Positive Interaction

My father shared this with me not to long ago and while we give credit to the person he got it from, he has certainly put his own twist on things.  My father (and mother) are my inspiration, my guiding light.  They raised me with certain values that I cherish and try to uphold.  I know that everyone slips, and that is allowed, but to try to achieve the values they have instilled in me means that my life is probably in perspective and fulfilling.  Not everyone agrees with everyone all the time, but the following are some things that you can do to improve your interactions with others.

12 Rules of Positive Interaction
1)          If you open it, close it.
2)          If you turn it on, turn it off.
3)          If you unlock it, lock it up.
4)          If you break it, admit it.
5)          If you can’t fix it, call in someone who can.
6)          If you borrow it, return it.
7)          If you value it, take care of it.
8)          If you make a mess, clean it up.
9)          If you move it, put it back.
10)    If it belongs to someone else, get permission to use it.
11)    If you don’t know how to operate it, leave it alone.
12)    If you it is none of your business, don’t ask questions.
13)    If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it.
14)    If it will brighten someone’s day, say it.
