John Wooden was a legendary player and coach. Seth Davis' b\newly released book has been a great read so far and has caused me to reflect on some of Wooden's basic philosophies. Below is his seven point creed that he received from his father. I would like to say that they should be obvious, but since when is the obvious obvious? There are simply lessons in here that can help guide anyone through difficult time. With a core foundation of faith and some reflection on these points one can lead a very accomplished life with humility and confidence. I challenge you to reflect on your core values and them live them.
1. Be true to yourself.
2. Help others.
3. Make each day your masterpiece.
4. Drink deeply from good books, including the Good Book.
5. Make friendship a fine art.
6. Build a shelter against a rainy day.
7. Pray for guidance, count and give thanks for your blessings each day.
